Simple but effective care steps to keep your gold-plated jewelry shining like new for years.
Gold-plated jewelry can last for years with proper care. Here are the 7 rules our workshop recommends:
1. Last on, first off
Put jewelry on after perfume, lotion and hairspray; take it off as soon as you get home.
2. Avoid water
Showers, sea and pool are plating's worst enemies. Except for our water-resistant PVD pieces, minimize contact with water.
3. Store separately
Pieces scratch each other when rubbed together. Keep each one in its own pouch or box.
4. Wipe with a soft cloth
A microfiber wipe after each wear removes sweat and oils.
5. Keep away from chemicals
Remove jewelry while cleaning or exercising.
6. Protect from moisture
Don't store in the bathroom; a small silica gel pack in your box helps.
7. Use your warranty
If fading occurs within 12 months we re-plate for free. Just write to us.
